Ramadan crescent likely to be sighted on March 10 in most Islamic countries

The crescent moon of Ramadan is likely to be sighted on Sunday, March 10, in most Islamic countries.

According to the International Astronomical Center, the moon will be born on March 10 at 9:00 AM. There is a possibility of the moon being seen after sunset in almost all parts of the Islamic world.

With this prediction, the first day of fasting will be on Monday, March 11, in most Muslim countries. However, there is a possibility that the moon will not be sighted on March 10 in some regions.

According to a number of scholars and astronomical observatories, such as SAAO, and researchers Yallop and Odeh, the crescent will not be visible to the naked eye or with the use of a telescope on March 10 in the entire Arab and Islamic world. However, the use of a telescope may help to see the moon in some parts of the United States.

In 2023, the crescent moon of Ramadan was sighted on April 22 in Saudi Arabia, and the first day of fasting was observed on April 23.
